The Pogonip is a nature reserve in San Lorenzo valley just behind Santa Cruz. Today Shawn took me there for a hike. I have lived 30 years in Santa Cruz county but I had never been there before, that's incredible, isn't it!

Having moved to southern New Hampshire, I'm actively seeking out places of historic or natural significance. I want to learn as much as possible about my new home area. Our closest equivalent to Pogonip seems to be the Great Bay, an astoundingly rich assortment of mini-environments, under the stewardship of the Great Bay Stewards.
Good news about the new place finally coming through. It must be a big relief. Much happiness in it!
