GROWTH

Humans believe in growth. Ongoing growth, endless growth. Bigger, steadily improved life. Not many seem to worry about how that’s going to turn out.


Nothing can go further than the utterly extreme; then it must turn back. All that is created must decay and transform into something else. So, to aim for constant growth is taking the road to destruction. Yet it is the belief all over the world that the economy should be growing constantly.

Something I have been thinking about a lot lately as well. One definition of constant, unrestrained growth is: Cancer. Scary.

The constant recessions and depressions in America's economy proves the point, and really, the only reason to want growth is greed
